She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carney and Arlene Carney (Hickman); her husband Eugene "Gene" Johnson; and her sisters, Mary Louise Curie and Barbara Leiendecker.

She is survived by: her brother Pat Carney (Marty) of Smithville.
