He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Boyd and Ruth Boyd (Burke); his wife Shirley; and his brothers, Ralph and Lloyd Boyd.

He is survived by: his sons, Curtis Boyd (Martha) of Scio, OH, Bill Boyd and Ted Boyd (Lori) of Smithfield; and his brothers, Isaac Boyd (Aloa) of Newport, NC and Kenny Boyd (Cathy) of Mesquite, NV. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
