He is survived by: his wife Phyllis (Fourman); his children, David Shields (Sue) of New Kent, VA and Elaine Hanf (Brent); his grandchildren, Leah King (Greg), Nathanial Shields (Samantha), Ariel Bond (Tim), Micheal Hanf, Erik Hanf (Angela), Hazel Shields and Tabitha Shields; his great grandchildren, Haele King, Kaylee King, Charlotte Shields, Nicholae Bond, Thomas Bond and Isabella Hanf; his siblings, Doris Charles of Fayetteville, Duane Shields of Greenville and Kay Shields of Columbus, Ohio; and also Jim Shields (Mia Sossei) of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in law, sister-in-law and friends.
