It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vera Bell-Piper of Sidney, Ohio, born in Maplewood, Ohio, who passed away on August 10, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Dowden and Lillie Dowden (Abbott); and her sister Janice Davidson. She is survived by: her children, Diane Courter (Philip) of Sidney, Ohio and Larry Yinger (Patty) of Sidney, Ohio; her stepdaughters, Jane Stites (David) of Sunbury, Ohio and Janet Sorrell (Gary) of Powell, Ohio; her sister Clarice Pence of Sidney, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Angela Chambers (Courter), Jeff Courter (Julie), Jason Courter (Cathy), Brad Yinger (Stacey) and Zach Yinger. She is also survived by five step grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wilson Hospice in Sidney, Ohio, and Sidney First United Methodist Church, Sidney.
