He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Jackson and Lura Jackson (Mauck); and his brothers, Harold and Marion Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte L. (Reeder); his children, Joyce Nelson (Dennis) of Port Clinton, Steven Jackson (Donna) of Delaware and Joseph Jackson (Karen) of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Jessica Mowery (Erik), Jeff Jackson (Kristin) and Judy Jackson. He is also survived by one great-grandchild, five step-grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren.
