She was predeceased by: her parent Julia Frances Schaffer; and her brother Paul Emory Ludwig II. She is survived by: her parent John Hicks of Sidney; her spouse George W. Hickman; her children, Ruth Cates of Sidney, Christina Cates of Sidney, Grace Taylor of Sidney, Dave Taylor of Sidney, Wes Hickman of Sidney and Trista Hickman of Sidney; her siblings, Jim of Sidney, Frank of Sidney, Angie Ludwig of Sidney, Armilda Strunk of Sidney, Amanda Asworth of Sidney and Kenny Napier of Sidney; and her grandchildren, Jacob, Angela, Kaelin, Lily, Wrangler and Bell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
