He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Kinninger (DeWeese) and Cletus Kinninger. He is survived by: his wife Carol Kinninger (Higginbotham); his daughters, Jennifer Mercado (Chris Hamm) and Laura Hurley (Wes Hurley); and his grandchildren, Makayla and Kaleb Hurley.

Memorial contributions in Steve's honor may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church.
