He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Ivan and Ruth Janet Elsner (Harp); his siblings, Betty Lou Clark and C. Daniel Elsner; and his siblings-in-law, Vicki Elsner and Gregg McDermit.
He is survived by: his wife Penny (Middleton); his children, Nikki Elsner of Sidney and Kris Elsner (Jessica) of Sidney; his grandchildren, Karter Elsner (Kaleigh Maio), Cohen Fast, Devin and Holly Santos; his great grandchildren, Andria Soder and Aria Santos; and his in-laws, Richard Clark of Sidney, Lee, Dave Bell of Anna, Candy Roediger of Sidney and Ginger McDermit of Sidney.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (302 S Main Ave, Sidney, OH 45365). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (120 W Water St, Sidney, OH 45365). A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the Graceland Cemetery's. Ohio (975 S Main Ave, Sidney, OH 45365).
Memorials to honor Steve may be made to the Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation (SCARF) or the Sidney American Legion Post 217.
