He is survived by: his wife Ruth Burnside (Rhodes); his children, Alan Burnside (Sidney), Wesley Burnside (Minster) and Amanda Burnside of Wilmington, NC; his stepsons, Kevin Beatty (Michelle) of Sidney and Kurt Beatty (Mandy) of Troy; and his grandchildren, Eli, Will, Leah, Ben (Alan), Grace, Christin, Clayton, Alexis, Isaiah, Aiden Watren (Wes), Skyler, Savannah (Amanda), Jac, Jenna (Kevin), Damon and Drake (Kurt).
