Roland Jay Kellar Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roland Jay Kellar Sr. of Sidney, Ohio, born in Los Angeles, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Kellar and Roberta Kellar (Martin); his sisters, Kathleen Lawson (Ted) and Ramona McGillvary (Clyde); and his grandson Kevin Kellar.
He is survived by: his wife Helen (Roeth); his children, Roland Kellar, Jr. (Shylee) of Houston, Ohio, Daniel Kellar (Lisa) of Oregon, Ohio, Gwendolyn Shoemaker (Doug) of McCartyville, Ohio and Christine Helman (Brian) of Sidney, Ohio.; and his grandchildren, Jason Weirtz (Brendan), Holly Kellar, Allison Bridges, Andrea Shook (James), Andrew Shoemaker, Katie Friedrichsen (Shaun), Joshua Kellar, Kierstyn Oberdorf, Seth Oberdorf and Izzy Kellar. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (302 S Main Ave, Sidney, OH 45365). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (200 E Bridge St, Covington, OH 45318). A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at the Houston Cemetery.
Memorials to honor Roland may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.
