He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard K. Bertrand and Dorothy C. Newland Bertrand (Weatherby); his brother L. Kenneth; his brother-in-law Vernon Caplinger; his former wife Esther Bertrand of Wapakoneta; and also Marie.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Kantner Johnson; his children, Kevin Bertrand of Wapakoneta and Linda Bertrand Shade (Roger Shade) of Wapakoneta; his grandchildren, Meghan Shade of Celina, Lucas Shade and Nathan Shade of Wapakoneta; his sisters, Shirley Bertrand Core (Jack Core) of Lima and Marilyn Bertrand Boyd (Thomas Boyd) of Sidney; and his stepchildren, Jeff Johnson (Karin) of Findlay, OH and Stephanie Johnson Artman (Dan Artman) of Gilbert, Arizona.. He is also survived by his co-workers and spending time with relatives and friends.
