We bid farewell to Rodger W. Hawkins (Sidney, Ohio), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 20, 2025 at the age of 80. Rodger touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hawkins and Dorothy Hawkins (Hobbs); his son Kelly Rice; his grandsons, Jordan and Tyson; and his sister LaFrieda Bowman (Mike).
He is survived by: his sons, Taber Hawkins (Megan) of Lima and Tim Rice-Hawkins (Allison) of McKinney, TX; his grandchildren, Kaylena, Madyson, Myla, Ryker of Lima and Morgan of McKinney, TX; his stepgrandchildren, Riley, Jordan, Wyatt of McKinney, TX and Ashlee of Arizona; and his siblings, Rev. Terry (Kathy), Karen Sanders (Derry) of Lubbock, TX and Diana'Dee' Adams (Robert) of Paulding, OH. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Solid Rock Church (2745 OH-29, Sidney, OH 45365). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, gifts etc. the family request memorials to Rodger Hawkins Memorial Fund through Solid Rock Church, Sidney.
