He is survived by: his wife Dora Ann Kies; and his nieces and nephews, Ann Herring, Virginia Fouse-Howard, Paul Gross, Patricia Zimfler, Lynn Frillin, Kenneth Kies (Barb), Brooks Kies (Peggy), Jesse Kies and Deborah Huebner (Scott).
