He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Middleton and Rose Middleton (White); his siblings, Joseph, Charlie and Karen; and his great grandchild Greysyn Lawson.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Skinner; his children, Michael I. Middleton (Reiko) of New Braunfels, TX, Patrick D. Middleton (Edna) of Piqua, Lisa D. Meckstroth (James) of Piqua, David Middleton (Jill) of Piqua, Tammy Patrick (Greg) of Piqua and Richard L. Middleton II (Shannon) of Sarasota, FL; and his sister Sharan Jackson of Carmal, CA.. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Donors Charity of Choice in Richard's memory.
