He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Alyce (Houghton); his children, Richard Gano Jr. of Elizabeth Town, KY and Jacqueline McBride (Timothy) of Sidney; his grandchildren, Richard E. Gano III, Stephanie Doane, William J. Philpott Jr., Christine Philpott (Jayson), Jesse Gano and Jaime Gano; his great grandchildren, Kayla Bierlein, Jordan Bierlein, Luke Gano and Sarah Doane; his siblings, John Gano of Alabama and Patricia Knepper of California; and his sons, Gerald Norman Gano and James Edward Gano.
