He was predeceased by: his father Charles Augustus Cole; his wife Diane Cole (Schlagetter); his son Richard Lee Cole Jr.; and his siblings, William Cole, Roy A. Cole, Albert H. Cole, Jasper H. Cole, Robert E. Cole, Bessy Loffer, Ethel Cole Bishop, Dorothy J. Sumner, Nellie Cole Daniels and Lillian Cole Thomas.
He is survived by: his sons, Tim Cole (Alice) of Sidney, David Cole (Karla) of Sidney and Daniel Cole (Karen) of Parma Heights; his grandchildren, Brandon Cole (Crissy), Adrienne Fortkamp (Kevin), Daniele Cole and Megan Cole (Matt Whitmore); and his great grandchildren, Grant Cole, Oliver Fortkamp, Jackson Cole, Ava Fortkamp and Ella Fortkamp.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alpha Center/Holy Angels Soup Kitchen in Richard's memory.
