He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Cavinder and Glaidia Cavinder (Mees); his former wife Vera Bevans; his spouse Crata Rains; and his sisters, Kathryn Ratliff and Beverly Shelby.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Cavinder (Carla) of Sidney, Steve Cavinder (Brenda) of Hopkinsville, KY, Wayne Cavinder of Sidney and Suzette Hayes of Sidney; his stepchildren, Constance Morris (Ronald) of Sidney and Kevin Stapleton of Sidney; and his siblings, Harold of Sidney, Ronald Cavinder of Sidney, Keitha Wisecup (Jim) of Maplewood, Joyce Martin (Glen) of Anna and Gary Cavinder of Sidney. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that donations be made to Fair Haven Shelby County Home.
