He was predeceased by: his father Frederick Schulze; his siblings, Richard Schulze, Wilfred Schulze, Edward Schulze, Frederick Schulze, Alma Mertz, Doris Ruthschilling and Marlene McMullen; and his brothers-in-law, Robert C. McMullen, Charles Mertz and Elmer Rutschilling.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marcia Montgomery (Brent) of Sidney, Teri Brant (Mark) of Sidney and Patti Withrow (Jim) of Anna; his grandchildren, Branden, Brad, Ben Montgomery, Katie, Zoe Brant, Caleb (Samantha), Jimmy Withrow (Kristina) and Morgan Stiffler; his great grandchildren, Bryleigh, Braxton, Braelynn, Brentyn Montgomery and Caden Withrow; his brother Lavern Schulze (Diane) of Fort Loramie; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Schulze of Fort Loramie and Karen Schulze of Minster.
