He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman B. Dempsey and Emma Mae Dempsey (Staton). He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Dempsey (Jarboe); his daughters, Diane Dempsey of Sidney and Dana Ranne (Eddie) of Flower Mound, Texas; his grandchildren, Nina Santarelli-Griffin (Michael), Tara Hewitt (Josh), Haley Ranne and Hadley Ranne; his great grandchildren, Alexis, Brayden, Landon, Addison and Ashton; his siblings, Tommy Dempsey (Jean) of New Hartford, Barbara Taravella of Tucson, Arizona., Paul Dempsey and Loyce Ellis (Sam); and his brother-in-law Chuck Taravella.
