He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Yantis and Lucy Yantis (Gibson); and his siblings, Dennis, Donald Yantis, Patty Loraine and Darlene Kay.

He is survived by: his wife Geraldine (Murphy); his daughters, Maria Swigart (James) of Sidney, Crystal Moses (Jonathan) of Sidney and Tiffany Napier (Stevie) of Sidney; and his sisters, Ranita Smith (Buck), Belinda Smith and Arlene Blevins (Harvey). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
