He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Tate and Mary Tate (Click); his close friend Rebecca Bernardi; his siblings, Bessie Jackson, Wanda Tate, Roy Tate, Ann Schmidt, Mary Sue Calhoun, Ernie Tate and Melinda Tate; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Knepper and Virgil Hicks.
He is survived by: his siblings, Leota Muhlenkamp (Jim) of Sidney, Debbie Hicks of Sidney, Carol Hopkins (Don) of Sidney and Willard Tate (Bonnie) of Brimfield; his brothers-in-law, David Schmidt of Akron, Henry Jackson of Sidney and Leon Calhoun of Sidney; and his niece Staci Hicks Starliper.
