She was predeceased by: her father John Simmons; her husband Charles Fries, Sr.; her son Curt Hedrick; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Smith and Steve Hedrick.
She is survived by: her mother Nora Ella Simmons (Phillips); her children, Kathy Smith (Mark) of Purvis, Mississippi and Mike Hedrick (Patty) of Troy, OH.; and her stepchildren, Chuck Fries (Kathy) of Sidney, Robert Fries (Beverly) of Ft. Wayne, Greg Fries (Patty) of Ft. Wayne and Sharon Arnold (Gary) of International Falls. She is also survived by grandchildren, 13 biological great grandchildren and 4 biological great great grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren.
