She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Cox and Emma Cox (Muehleisen); her son Daniel Barhorst; her husband Vernon H. Barhorst; and her siblings, Mildred Elsner (Walter), Helen Hefflinger (Lester), Viola Kopp (Arther), Opal Wooddell (Woody), Virginia Strunk (Laurence) and Edward Cox (Ruthann).
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Robbins (Randy) of Sidney and David Barhorst (Linda) of Sidney; her granddaughter Melissa Johnston (Nick) of Piqua, Ohio; and her children, Todd Barhorst (Sarah) of Beavercreek, Ohio and Kimberly Barhorst (Luke Hoying) of Fort Loramie. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Charity of One's Choice.
