She was predeceased by: her parents, Elza Coverstone and Margaret Coverstone (Stagg); her son Andy Sparks; and her brother Jerry Coverstone. She is survived by: her husband Edward "Butch" Sparks; her sisters-in-law, Doris Coverstone and Sara Smith; and her nieces, Jennifer Coverstone and Lisa Geuy. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
