He was predeceased by: his mother Ethel Cunningham (Booth); and his brothers, John and Carl Cunningham. He is survived by: his father John Cunningham; his wife Christine; and his children, Paige Root (Shaun) of Wilmington, Corey Megginson (Joe) of Wilmington, Fiore Pellegrino of Mittelbrunn and Germany.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wilson Hospice.
