It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Jones-Whitis of Sidney, Ohio, born in Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on September 16, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Tulla Haynes and Lina Haynes (Phillips); her former spouse Glen D. Jones; her husband Earl H. Whitis; and her siblings, Grover, George Haynes, Eva Bishop, Helen Dixon, Harold Haynes and Jane Brantley.

She is survived by: her children, Glenda Wise (Randy) of Sidney, Rickey D. Jones of Sidney, Gerri L. Studebaker (Kevin) of Sidney and JoAnn Neer of Sidney; and her sister Della Elizabeth Slater of Kokomo, IN. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society and American Kidney Foundation.
