He is survived by: his children, Robert Barga (Tina), Mike Barga (Amanda), Bruce Barga, Gary Wesley Gates, Viola "Nikki" Woods (Michael), Heather Michael (Mark) and Kayla Gates; and his siblings, Robert Gates (Genene), Rose Clark, Raymond Gates (Maxine), May Hughes and John Gates (Sandy). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren.
