She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Adams and Julia Adams (Helmlinger); her husband John Kaplan; her son Michael Kaplan; and her siblings, Carl, Ralph Adams and Helen Furry.

She is survived by: her children, David Kaplan (Connie) of Greenville, Steven Kaplan (Patty) of Troy and Barbara Dembski (Kaplan) of Sidney; and her daughter-in-law Marjorie Kaplan-Schoonmaker of Adrian, Michigan. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney, Ohio or FISH of Shelby County.
