He was predeceased by: his mother Lenetia Lontz (Shoemaker); his wife Rita Lynn Murphy; his stepmother Jean Lontz; his sisters, Diane and Brenda; and his brother-in-law Tony.
He is survived by: his father Robert Lontz; his children, Beth Smith of West Alexandria, KY, Sammantha Schroer of Piqua, Erica Davis (James) of Covington, Robert Lontz of Wapakoneta and Tony Murphy (Sarah) of Piqua; and his siblings, Bobbie McElhinney of Piqua and Sharon Lontz of New Lebanon. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
