He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Stooksbury Sr. and Ruth Douglas (Milton); and his sisters, Debra Fitzgerald and Glenna Fogt. He is survived by: his girlfriend Delores Blankenship; his children, David Stooksbury (Melissa), Derrick Stooksbury (Lorie), Joseph Stooksbury and Chelsie Blankenship; his sister Ruth Swiger; and his half-brother Huwillber Douglas. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sidney American Legion in remembrance of Elvin.
