He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Short and Marian Short (Johnson); his brothers, Stephen Short (Ginny) of Granite Bay and Mark Short (Cheryl) of Wapakoneta; his brother-in-law Roger Short of Toledo; and his sister Susan Short.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Short (Couchot); his daughters, Amy Botzenhardt (Tony) of Troy and Karen Fogt (Steve) of Sidney; his grandchildren, Trent Alexander (Lindsay) of Mentor, Kohl Kirkland (Anna) of Lebanon, Brittany Fischer of Miamisburg and Ashlyn Fogt of Sidney; and his great grandchildren, Hunter and Brooklynn Alexander.
