He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Sharp and Betty Sharp (Brewer); and his brothers, James and Tom Sharp. He is survived by: his son Donald L. Sharp Jr. (Dana) of Sidney; his granddaughters, Allison and Sophia Sharp; and his siblings, Harry Sharp of Jackson Center, Floyd Sharp of St. Marys, Dick Sharp of Sidney and MaryAnn Swindell of Troy.
