He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Murphy and Dorothy Murphy (Townsend). He is survived by: his children, Dawn Meeker (Bob) of Sidney and Donald L. Murphy II (Kellie) of Troy; his grandchildren, Derrick Strohmenger (Rachel), Kyle Strohmenger (Jessica), Brittany McDowell (James), Kirstie Hoover (Kevin) and Henry Murphy; and his siblings, Robert, Gary, Dennis, Helen and Judith. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
