He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Gavin and Willie Gavin (Daniels); his siblings, Janice Williams, Edward and Nathaniel Gavin; his brothers-in-law, Charles Owen, Thomas Wood and Kenneth Williams; his mother-in-law Patricia Wood; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Flees and Peggy Wood.
He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Ferree; his children, Quintella Gray (Ernest) of Atlanta, GA, Tiana Gavin and Nicholas Gavin; his stepsons, Mark of Sidney, Ohio. and Justin Richardson of Sidney, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Kieara, Savannah, Taylor, Tessa, Aubrey, Julia, Kameron of Sidney Ohio, Payton of Sidney Ohio, Jordan of Sidney Ohio, Justin of Sidney Ohio and Jay (Mary Ann) of Sidney Ohio; his sisters, Natalie Gavin and Beverly Gavin Owens; his sister-in-law Angela Gavin; and also, Ruth Wood, Bill Wood (Jill), Roger Flees, Deb Mentges (John) and Amy Wildermuth. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunties.
