He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Conrad Burkholder and Ethel Ruth Burkholder (Glotfelty); his wife Dianna Elaine Burkholder (Webb); his daughter Denise Clevenger; his granddaughters, Brooke Clevenger and Kayla Ireton; and his sister-in-law Betty Burkholder.
He is survived by: his children, Darla Sue Ireton (Garry) of Sidney and Douglas Paul Burkholder (Leesa) of Sidney; his grandchildren, Michael, Dustin, Ryan Burkholder, Heather Hindall (Tyler) and Austin Ireton (Emily); his great grandchild Zoey Hindall; and his brother James Burkholder.
