He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles D. Herring and Shirley Herring (McClellan); his parents-in-law, Edward and Helen M. Link; and his nephew Kenny Albers.
He is survived by: his son Charles E. Herring of Sidney; his siblings, Don Herring (Tammy) of Sidney and Vicki Albers (Kenny) of Anna; his grandchildren, Charles, Rebekah, Gabriel and William; and his godmother Phyllis Guillozet of Versailles.
