He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond George and Veronica Barhorst (Drees). He is survived by: his wife Ellen Elizabeth Barhorst (Iza); his children, Kevin Barhorst of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Carrie Clarke of Hawaii, Sarah Barhorst of Columbus, Ohio, Grace Knittle of Dublin, Ohio and Greg Barhorst (Wendy) of Tipp City; and his brothers, Louis (Kathleen) of Tipp City, Ohio., Ralph Barhorst (Janet) of Tipp City, Ohio. and Jerome. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, his loving wife, his children, brothers, and his beloved family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Morgan's Place Cemetery or to Peters Pence Religious Library, in Sidney, Ohio.
