She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph A. Ratermann and Gladys Ensey Ratermann (Blake); her siblings, Betty Roeckner and John Ratermann; and her brother-in-law Bill Custenborder.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Kinsella; her grandchildren, Benjamen, Brandi, James Brandewie (Cheryl) and Michael Creager (Erika); her daughter Pamela Hovanic (Perry) of Livermore, CA; her grandchildren, Nicholas Hovanic (Danielle Haskin), Nora-Kate Wiewel (Kurt) and Raelan Hovanic (AJ Mendoza); her son Michael Brubaker (Donna); her grandson Cole Brubaker; her daughter Kathleen Middleton (Dean Sherman); her granddaughters, Kristi Spangler (Curt), Stacy Smith (Scott) and Danielle Middleton; her sister Catherine Custenborder (Kate); her siblings-in-law, Bob Roeckner and Kathryn Ratermann (Kathy); and her pets, Prince, Jessie and Maggie. She is also survived by her 20 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lehman Catholic Education Foundation or have a mass said for Barbara.
