He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Molly; his sisters, Carol and Carolyn; and his stepson Ferlin Edgell. He is survived by: his daughters, Peggy Daugherty of Wooster and Vickie Duesenberry of Orrville; his stepchildren, Cheryl Clark (Don), Dottie Morris (Ken), Lloyd Edgell Jr. and Judy Franks; and his sisters, Dorris Slaughter (Max), Wilma Moser (Norman) and Hilda Smith. He is also survived by 1 grandson; 20 step-grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 22 step great-grandchildren.
