He was predeceased by: his parents, Jules Evans and Gwendoline Evans (Vincent); and his brother Bill Phelps. He is survived by: his wife Amy Bendele; his children, Roberta Fortune (Mike), Dairl Evans Jr. (Heather), Melissa Sparks (Jeremy) and Melinda Woosley (Rusty); and his siblings, Carroll Evans (Elsie), Linda Evans, Wilma Speelman (Bob), Lois Miller, Shirl Evans (Patti), Joan Thokey (Don) and Paula Evans. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
