He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Deskins and Ruby Sparkman (Cook); his siblings, Ernie Deskins, Juanita Oney and Dewayne Sparkman; and his half-sister Zenetta McGlothlin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ella "Rose" Mullins, Johnie Deskins (Cheryl Howard), Carla McGlothlin (Rose McDaniel) and Roger Deskins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
