He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Black and Mabel Black (Baker); his stepchildren, Mindy Brickels and Ryan Stiltner; his grandsons, Michael Linnebur, Samuel Linnebur and Peter Black; and his brother James Black.
He is survived by: his children, Michael J. Black of Defiance, Marianne Linnebur (Mike) of Byers, CO, Rose Pollock (Nathanael) of Archbold, OH and Andrew Black of Defiance; his stepchildren, Mandy Brickels of Defiance and Brandon Stiltner of Napoleon, OH.; and his brother Wayne Black (Mary) of McClure, OH.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
