It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Homer Greear of Sherwood, Ohio, born in Coeburn, Virginia, who passed away on December 4, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Howard Greear and Mossie Greear (Harmon); his granddaughter Melissa Greear; his siblings, Roy Greear, Troy Greear, Claude Greear and Frankie Greear; and his nephews, Russell Greear and Randy Greear.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Relyea of Sherwood, OH; his grandchildren, Lindsay Schulte, Chad Lantow, Justin Lantow, Jackie Hendershot, Mandi Jones (Kevin), Malorie Schroeder (Ben), Lindsey Kistler (Bobby), Chelsea Clarke (Mike), Emily Greear, Tiffany Crites (Kevin), Kalynn Snyder (Aaron) and Tiffany Kenyon (Josh); his great grandchildren, Bella Schulte, Krandon Crites, Leetim Crites, Evie Snyder, Holdyn Snyder, Bently Snyder, Chloe Snyder, Lorelie Greear (Harper), Chloe Mitchell, Talan Mckinley, Xander Schroeder, Cameron Kenyon, Tymberlee Kenyon, Zaxton Kenyon, Corvin Kistler and Riley Kistler; his children, Deb York (Lee), Julie Padgett (Don) of Ardmore, Duane Greear (Lisa) of Ottawa and Steve Greear of Napoleon; and his siblings, Paul Greear (Shirley) of Coeburn, VA and Thelma Greear of Coeburn.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic visitation will be at Schafer Funeral Home in Defiance on Monday December 7, 2020 from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm. Masks and social distancing are required to enter the funeral home.
