He was predeceased by: his parents, George Fitzwater-Bishop and Mabel Fitzwater-Bishop (Shellenbarger); his son Thomas Fitzwater; and his brother Glenn Fitzwater. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca J. Dunlap; his children, Steve Fitzwater (Laura) of Sherwood, Leann Fitzwater (Jeff Hartman) of Defiance, Trina Wixson (Ned) of Wasilla, Ala, Stephanie Moore (Earl) of Brookville, Chad Kern (Brandy) of Caro and Eric Kern (Michelle) of Farwell, Michigan; and his brother Rick Fitzwater (Karen) of Defiance. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren.
