He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard V. Roop and Virginia "Ginny" L. Roop (Ligon); his daughter Amy Roop; his sister-in-law Diane Roop; and his father-in-law Jim Haley.
He is survived by: his wife Christina Roop (Haley); his children, Angie Gaietto (Pat) and Jeremy Roop; his grandsons, Andy, Dominic, Isaac, Jared and Collin; his great grandchildren, Aceyn and Aleigha; his siblings, Larry Roop (Nancy), Linda Brock (Dennis) and Shirley Williams (Jerrod); his mother-in-law Diana Haley; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Haley (Andrea) and Becky Wing. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Barkdull Funeral Home (33 N Gamble St, Shelby, OH 44875). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at the Oakland Cemetery (116 S Gamble St, Shelby, OH 44875).
