She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Roethlisberger and Lois Roethlisberger (Gates); her sister Marijo Berman; and her brother-in-law James L. Swanger. She is survived by: her spouse Kenneth L. "Larry" Swanger; her siblings, Beverly Swanger, Charles Swanger (Lorraine), Douglas Swanger (Lorraine) and Marilyn Watts (Tommy); her nieces, Ruth Tulk, Cathy Westgate and Vicki Reichard; her nephew Jim Berman; and her cousin Steve Suter.
