He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Allen Steagall, Sr. and Cheryl Brown (Maynor) of Virginia; his daughter Cheryl Ann Grandstaff; his grandparents, Nadine, Nelson Steagall, Ila and Shelby Williams; his great-grandparent Edith Workman; and his great-niece Isabella Renea Caudell.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Grandstaff (Deb), Roy Allen Steagall, III, René Steagall and Amanda Steagall (Terry Petty Jr.); his grandchildren, Tatum, Jayla, Jazlin, Ricky, Leeahna, RaeLynn and Skylar; his siblings, Kelly Wilmoth (Randy) of Sutton, WV, Lisa Kegley (Jim) of Mansfield and DaWanna Johnson of Shelby; his close friends, Dena and Tim; and his pets, Marley and Lucy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
