He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Phelps and Nora Phelps (Mynhier); his wife Linda Lou Phelps (Arter); and his brothers, Fred, Paul and Danny "Witter" Phelps.
He is survived by: his sons, Nathan Phelps (Tammy) of Mansfield and Benjamin Phelps (Carey) of Deerfield Beach, FL; his granddaughter Emely Tate (Dustin) of Galion; his great grandchildren, Lacey and Austin Tate; and his brother Gary Phelps (Lynn) of Coffeyville, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
