He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Laney and Mae Laney (Smith); and his siblings, Ed, John, Hobert, Mary, Cordilla, Daisey and James.
He is survived by: his wife Diana P. Laney (Gibson); his children, Tracy Simons (Michael) of Shiloh, OH and Tim Laney (Rusty Burrows) of Shelby, OH; his grandson Alex Simons of Shiloh, OH; his brother Joe Laney; and his niece Linda Spears.
