He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldo Niese and Cecilia Niese (Rieman); his son Charlie; his former wife Dolores Niese (Karl); his brother Jim Niese; his parents-in-law, Walter, Gertrude Karl, Lawrence and Ethel White; and his in-laws, Miriam Beatens (Omer), Buzz Karl (Margie), Larry White (Judy) and Noel Franks.

He is survived by: his wife Lillian A. Niese (White); his children, Roger Niese (Terri) of Shelby, Kristi Kranz (Loren) of Shiloh and Ken Niese (Tina) of Crestline; his grandchildren, Kelsey Dotson (Josh), Owen Niese (Katlyn), Adi Niese, Leslie Crump (Dave), Brooke Bader (Braelen), Adam Niese (Katie), Alyssa Niese and Ashlynne Niese; his great grandchildren, Eli Dotson, Grayson Niese, Hanes Crump, Banks Bader and Avery Dotson; his siblings, Jerry Niese (Carol), Tom Niese (Dorothy), Joe Niese (Maxine) and Mary Ann Tabor (Bill); and his in-laws, Shirley Niese, Martha Ahrens (Merle), Margaret Franks and Don White (Loverna). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
