We bid farewell to Robert Charles Niese of Shelby, Ohio, born in Leipsic, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 7, 2024 at the age of 85. Robert Charles touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldo Niese and Cecilia Niese (Rieman); his son Charlie; his former wife Dolores Niese (Karl); his brother Jim Niese; his parents-in-law, Walter, Gertrude Karl, Lawrence and Ethel White; and his in-laws, Miriam Beatens (Omer), Buzz Karl (Margie), Larry White (Judy) and Noel Franks.

He is survived by: his wife Lillian A. Niese (White); his children, Roger Niese (Terri) of Shelby, Kristi Kranz (Loren) of Shiloh and Ken Niese (Tina) of Crestline; his grandchildren, Kelsey Dotson (Josh), Owen Niese (Katlyn), Adi Niese, Leslie Crump (Dave), Brooke Bader (Braelen), Adam Niese (Katie), Alyssa Niese and Ashlynne Niese; his great grandchildren, Eli Dotson, Grayson Niese, Hanes Crump, Banks Bader and Avery Dotson; his siblings, Jerry Niese (Carol), Tom Niese (Dorothy), Joe Niese (Maxine) and Mary Ann Tabor (Bill); and his in-laws, Shirley Niese, Martha Ahrens (Merle), Margaret Franks and Don White (Loverna). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Penwell Funeral Home (168 W Main St, Shelby, OH 44875). A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 7:15 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (5741 State Rte 61, Shelby, OH 44875).
